Hi how do I accept a "request" to allow a member to join?

Take a look at this post
It may not be asking exactly the same thing but in the replies you will see I posted a screenshot of the admin ->members page. Can you see the red "Requests" button? Click on that and you will see the people requesting to join as members. Highlight a row in the list and you will get controls to Approve or Reject.
