27th April will be our first gala of the summer playing season. Its our second year holding it, and places went in record time. Its a way of getting rid of the cob webs of winter, stretch the muscles and get a dose of vitamin D (weather permitting) All are welcome, the more the merrier, to watch the players. Drinks will be at club prices and other refreshments will be available throughout the day

PORTLAND BOWLING CLUB KILMARNOCKPortland Bowling Club, South Hamilton Street, Kilmarnock are currently recruiting for both playing and social members for the 2025/2026 season. Playing Membership: £75 for the first year rising to £150 thereafter.Anyone transferring from another bowling club where they have been a playing member are required to pay £150 for the first year. The Gents section presently hosts a number of Club Championship competitions and matches against other clubs. The Ladies section also hosts Club Championship competitions and matches against other clubs. There are a number of internal matches held on Saturdays as well as our TOP 9 Competition and our Mixed Triples League played throughout the season. There is also a weekly Wappenschaw match by both sections. A Ladies Open Triples and Gents Open Pairs and Fours Competitions are also held at the Club. The greens are available to members from 10.00 am every day. Social Membership: £30 per year with a maximum of 50 members.Our newly formed Social/Events Management Team are currently working on numerous events for throughout the year.📷The Club have recently opened the bar before each Kilmarnock FC home game allowing members and guests to have a drink prior to attending matches.
